“I’m so glad you proceeded with this. What I have seen so far is brilliant, and I can imagine various pilgrims around the world stumbling upon it and being greatly helped by the content and the style. It is a very trusting thing to do.”

“It is a wonderful idea, and your texts, the titles to begin with, look enticing. You have such a gift for writing, it’s good to share publicly. I love the picture… Really funny! but it doesn’t allow us to see the twinkle in your eye and your smile!  It is something to explore at a slow pace.”

“I thought I might dip in and read more of A contemporary Spirituality before I contacted you, but there’s a lot of “dipping in” to do, so I’m writing now! How marvellous to find your writing in one place, and so much I haven’t read before. It’s amazing isn’t it, how just writing when the spirit moves, as year follows year, you end up with a solid body of work after a while? I love the website, I love the open way you write, I love the way you can access your writings by subject matter if you want, I love your disclaimer, I adore your choice of author photo!  You are often a reminder to me to listen to what is calling me at any moment, and now your blog does something similar.”

“I’ve just had time to start working through your collection of spiritual blogs and am really looking forward to reading through the rest.  Is it significant, I wonder, that someone with such a personal relationship with God is no longer a stipendiary priest in the dear old C of E?  What’s going wrong with our Church?!”

“I think it offers readers an opportunity to ‘travel’ with someone on their faith journey. A journey that is not linear and therefore the more honest for that, because it reveals the reflections and engagement with someone genuinely on their own ‘Emmaus Road.’  As the entries are chronological and cover a number of years it allows readers to see the interaction between yourself and Godself over a given period of time. The fact that you’ve also put the entries into themes allows the reader to follow the thread over a period of time. Again it shows that the faith journey is not linear but weaves its way much like a river through geological strata with the occasional ‘oxbow’ that bends back on itself before finding its flow again. Finally, it is not confined by orthodox creed and dogma, which may disturb some whilst others may find comfort and encouragement to expand and own their own journey more fully. It’s feral in that the pieces do not follow a set path, but delve into the ‘undergrowth’ of faith and the I-Thou relationship.”

“I just wanted to tell you how much I like receiving these posts- they’re very straightforward and easy to read but thought provoking. Please keep sending them!”

I would just like to thank you again for letting me know about your blog. I am enjoying it so very much and in so very many ways. It speaks to my heart.

So far, I have only – as you say – been dipping in, but that is so lovely to do and I am very much looking forward to carrying on ‘dipping in’.

Though our paths have been different, I think there is much we have in common as well.

By the way, I am also still loving dipping into ‘A Time to Reflect’ each day. It is full of treasures and so beautifully put together.

In gratitude for your listening and your conversing….
